Project 62 - My Pink Stamper Design Team 2011 Challenge & Submission

 I'm trying out for a spot on the "My Pink Stamper Design Team for 2011"!  I love visiting Robyn's Blog she is such an inspiration.  I made this thank you card for Robyn's challenge, then i'll be giving the card, along with some Stephens's Hot Chocolate, to my neighbor Jamie!  Hi Jamie!  She was so kind to put my garbage cans out by the curb, then bring them back in for us while we were on vacation!  Thanks again Jamie! 
For Robyn's Pink Stamper Challenge you need to:

*Have a blog


*You cannot already be serving on a DT that has product that is a conflict of interest (most DTs are just fine as long as they do not sell product that is similar to My Pink Stamper Original Cricut Stamps idea)

*Your project must be made just for this challenge*Post a pic on your blog with a full recipe along with what the challenge is about*This needs to be a new project that you make just for this challenge*Only one entry per person, please*You must have either a Cricut or Imagine to serve on the team*No experience necessary but you must have a love for the craft! Challenge:  Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using my favorite colors......PinkGreenBrown(other optional color of your choice) 

Here is what i'll be submitting.

 Recipe:
DCWV-Cotton Bloom Paper Stack from Michaels Craft
Colorbok-Pearlescent Paper from Walmart 
Papertrey Color 8 1/2 x 11 Collection Paper -Dark Chocolate (Card base) cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 then folded in half.
Ribbon: Hotpink from Hobby Lobby
White Pearls from Walmart
Cricut Cake - Birthday Cakes Cartridge (Bouquet) page 58.
Using my Gypsy to cut the Bouquet @ 3.5 inches and 2 sets of flowers, one at 3.00 inches  and the second at 3.25 inches. Used the hide feature on the Gypsy to hide the ribbon. 
Pink strip or Pearlescent Paper cut @ 5 1/4 by 1  1/2 inches.
Green strip of DCWV Cotton Bloom paper cut @ 5 1/4 by 1 inch.

Busy Bug Babble - Family Home Evening "Kinect" Style

Ohh my....how I LOVE THE 360 KINECT!!!!  Ok, so I purchased the Kinect for the family gift for Christmas.  We haven't had a chance to use it until today!  By the way, if you are looking for Dance Central, (it was sold out everywhere) check your local Game Stop.

On Mondays in my Family we have Family Home Evening, where we have a church lesson and then we either play games, talk about family things or just do something together as a family.  Dad did the lesson today then we played Dance Central.  It surely got us off the couch.  I haven't done this much dance moves since I was dating my DH (years ago!)  If you have the Kinect, or you are thinking about getting one....this is the game to get!  I also got Zumba...now I have my own personal dance and exercise coach at home whenever I need them.  My muscles are aching but we had such a good time. Here is video of how it works...

Busy Bug Babble - Sundays Thoughts!

In my church most people have callings. responsibilities to teach.  I received my calling, which is to teach the Junior Primary children (ages 6 & 7).  I met the children today and they are just the cutest!  I am so excited about this calling!  I can't wait to use my scrapbooking skills in my lesson plans!  I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Scraproom here I come!  New York was fabulous, but I'm ready to go back home.  Thanks Jen, for inviting me on your Blog Hop....had tons of comments!  You guys are so amazing.  Can't wait to start some new projects for 2011.  More videos, cards and scrapbook pages planned.  I don't like to make new years resolutions, because I always break them but, one of my secret (sshhhh) resolutions was to start working on my family's pictures and albums.  I've got tons..  So here's to 2011! Busy Bug Babble - CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK

NEW ORK Who feels like Christmas was here and gone in a flash.....  I do  :-)  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is looking forward to a fabulous New Year!!   New York is absolutely beautiful in the winter,  but COLD......  Lots to do.  Sledding, visiting family and friend, swimming and eating NEW YORK PIZZA!!!  It's the best!!!!.  Here are some pictures of our trip to New York.  I'll post some more soon.

Project 59 - My Christmas Decorations...

I have been asked by some of my blog family ( you awesome followers of my blog) to post some pictures of my Christmas decorations!!  It's a little last minute, but here they are anyway....Enjoy.  Bug Hugs!

Project 58 - Happy Christmas Eve Last Minute Shopping Day!

Wow, I can't believe Christmas is tomorrow!!... Just wanted to share this card with you all and wish everyone a safe Christmas Eve Last Minute shopping Day :-)!!  If you're like me, i'll be out there trying to finish up my shopping too!  Bug Hugs!

Project 57 - Decorated Vinyled Garage Door

Ohhh my goodness....

I have been working on a Christmas project for the family and I totally spaced.  

I haven't been out of the house for days and I completely forgot to post this!  

I decorated my garage door again....

Project 56 - The Best Cookies in the World!

Oh my goodness,  you guys have got to try making these!!!  I found this recipe over  at Kerry's Blog.  They are the easiest cookies I have ever make, and the best tasting I have EVER tasted!!  I made them for my neighbors and friends!  Here is the recipe:
Praline Strip
1 cup real butter not margarine.
1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 cup chopped Pecans.  I purchase the whole Pecans and chop the up myself.

Approx. 24 Graham Crackers...enough to cover the cookie sheet.

1. Line a cookie sheet with tin foil.  Spread out Graham Crackers, splitting them into halves and/or quarters, to cover the entire sheet. 

2. Bring to boil: 1 cup butter & 1 cup brown sugar.  Once it reaches a boil, simmer for 2 minutes.

 

3. Add 1 cup chopped pecans and stir.

4. Remove from heat and pour mixture over the Graham Crackers. Spread evenly.
5. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes.

Mixture will start to spread out over the Graham Crackers in the heat.

Allow to cool completely, then break apart. 

 I lay them on a clean dish towel to get rid of some of the butter. 

All done.....Wrapped and ready to go!
