We have a water fountain in our garden that has been a mosquito magnet for years.
Sorry, I drained it before I took pictures.
But this is what remained....
EWWW....NASTY!
I've decided to turn it into a planter.
I needed some muscle to drill trough the 3 inch thick concrete so my
Hubby helped me drill the holes for drainage.
We used this heavy duty drill....
Here she is nice and filled with compost, Mel's Mix and some
Kellogg N'Rich Garden Soil Enriching Compost...love this stuff!
And planted with a few clipping I cut from my driveway potted plants. I plan on planting some edibles in there too!
All done for now!
NICE!!
No more yucky, stinky, mosquito water!!!
Oh, I love, love that. It's going to look gorgeous once it's all in bloom.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to take pictures once that time comes.
Anxious to see your fountain blooming in living color. :}
Have a great day and better day tomorrow
